LISA BLUE- RELIGIOUS SHOCKER!

I'm an Atheist so I don't get my back up about religious matters but  it kinda gets on my nerves when I see people using religious symbols inappropriately knowing it is gona case uprising within a certain religious group and showing a blatant disrespect for others beliefs. One designer who may have fallen pray to these shock tactics is Lisa Blue, an Australian swimwear designer. She recently showed this swimsuit-

The image is the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. And as it turns out it didn't go down well. There has been a lot of criticism from the Hindu community over the design, and I agree it is disrespectful of their beliefs but after looking at her website it seems like she's a bit of a high-on-life-hippy and I doubt she had any intention to cause offense, and has responded appropriately releasing an apology and  pulling the swimsuit from production. And on the plus size the model has a beautiful healthy body shape- a rarity on catwalks. Does make you think though, Christian Larcoix showed this dress in 2009-

Pretty much a real life Virgin Mary, but no one gave a shit? There were no death threats (Lisa Blue has been catching a few of them recently) and it pretty much was just taken for what it is- a beautiful design. So it makes you think are people too quick to jump on the religious pedestal or are we becoming so desensitised by the media we are exposed too, that we can forget the strong beliefs of others?  Personally I think if you are gona offend someone/group then you should just pipe down. A lil word of advice Lady Gagagogo's could heed, her new video is gona cause a huge stink-

Now I think Gagagogo definitely falls into the shock tactics category and I'm sure she will come out with some beautifully spun bullshit about how shes a good Catholic girl and it represents the evils of life that can sometimes pull you down, but at the end of the day she knows this is gona cause some people to loose their heads. She talks about equality blah blah all the fucking time yet doesn't have the empathy to understand how offensive some people will find this video. Minus 100 points Gagagogo, soon you'll be kicking it with Jordan and Brittany Spears in the cesspit of souless popstars- but don't worry you'll have some mates there.
